A big table sits in the center of the brightly lit room. It has reserved seating.
There are always seats at this table. However, the seats are never for those who are disenfranchised or those with the sad voices who carry the solemn lonely message that is never heard.
This table is occupied with the familiar faces of the same color, the same age, the same group, and the same messaging. While they reluctantly provide a token seat at the table, they drown out the powerful message.
When is this table going to have enough seats so they can learn about injustice, equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion? When can we finally have no more of the same?
This table is big. Add more chairs.
We welcome your thoughts about this table.
